2. Conference Registration and Participation
Registration Requirements
- All participants must complete the registration process by the specified deadline
- Registration fees must be paid in full before participation is confirmed
- Participants under 18 must have parental/guardian consent
- All required documents must be submitted as requested
Participation Standards
Participants are expected to maintain high standards of conduct, respect for others, and adherence to Model UN procedures throughout the conference.
3. Code of Conduct
All participants must adhere to the following code of conduct:
- Treat all participants, staff, and volunteers with respect and dignity
- Engage in constructive and diplomatic dialogue
- Follow all conference rules and procedures
- Maintain appropriate dress code and professional behavior
- Refrain from any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct
- Respect the property of the venue and other participants
- Follow all safety guidelines and instructions from conference staff
4. Fees and Refunds
Registration Fees
Registration fees are non-refundable except in cases of conference cancellation by the organizers or extraordinary circumstances as determined by the organizing committee.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations made 30+ days before the conference: 50% refund
- Cancellations made 15-29 days before: 25% refund
- Cancellations made less than 15 days before: No refund
- Medical emergencies will be considered on a case-by-case basis
5. Intellectual Property
The content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and images, is the property of SISHMUN 2024 and Sishya School and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
- You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without permission
- Position papers and other conference materials remain the property of their authors
- Conference proceedings may be recorded and used for educational purposes
6. Photography and Media
By participating in SISHMUN 2024, you consent to:
- Being photographed or recorded during conference activities
- Use of your likeness in promotional materials for future conferences
- Publication of conference proceedings and outcomes
- Social media coverage of the event
If you do not consent to photography/recording, please notify the organizing committee during registration.
7. Health and Safety
Health Requirements
- Participants must disclose any medical conditions or dietary restrictions
- Emergency contact information must be provided and kept current
- Participants are responsible for their own medical needs and medications
Safety Protocols
All participants must follow venue safety guidelines, emergency procedures, and instructions from conference staff and security personnel.
8. Liability and Disclaimers
Limitation of Liability
SISHMUN 2024 and Sishya School shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from participation in the conference or use of this website.
Personal Responsibility
Participants are responsible for their own actions, belongings, and well-being during the conference. The organizers are not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
9. Disciplinary Actions
Violation of these terms or the code of conduct may result in:
- Warning from conference staff
- Temporary suspension from committee sessions
- Removal from the conference without refund
- Prohibition from future SISHMUN events
- Notification to participant's school or institution
10. Force Majeure
SISHMUN 2024 shall not be liable for any failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, pandemics, or other emergencies. In such cases, the conference may be postponed, modified, or cancelled with appropriate notice to participants.
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued participation in the conference after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these terms or conference participation shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
